- Motor unit has been run uncoupled and the vibration level has been tabulated as above.
- Velocity reading didn’t shows significant changes between the two occasions.
- Envelope acceleration gE do shows slightly reduction in g’s level, with the gE predominantly
by a sideband of FTF around BSF.
- Highest level Envelope acceleration gE recorded at motor DE with present of bearing fault
frequencies also predominantly by a sideband of FTF around BSF.
- Bearing frequencies presents in velocity reading mm/s for both bearing which shows the
bearing already in the stage 3 of 4 stages of bearing defect.
-
2. Recommendation:

- Both motor bearings already in stage 3 where they have to be replace as soon as possible.

Figure 1 : Low level velocity reading with present of bearing fault frequencies at motor NDE
Figure 2: Bearing fault freq. still present in envelope acceleration reading although the level slightly reduced during
uncoupled run.

Figure 3: Low level velocity reading with present of bearing fault frequencies at motor DE.
Figure 4: Most high acceleration enveloping level recorded at motor DE with high impacting bearing fault frequencies.
