Nuovo Pignone SUPPLY SPECIFICATION FOR PLATE LUBE OIL COOLER

1. GENERAL
This specification defines the minimal technical requirements for the design, construction,
assembling, testing, painting and preparation for shipment of a synthetic oil cooler console for a
LM2500+ Single Fuel SAC gas turbine.
The supplier shall be responsible for the correct construction and operation of the skid.
The supplier, who will be assigned the construction order, shall design the skid in accordance with
the instructions contained in this specification.
In addition, the supplier shall include into the supply everything is necessary for the correct
operation of the skid.
The SUPPLIER shall notify the Nuovo Pignone of any and all apparent conflicts between this
specification, the related data sheets, the Codes and Standards, Directives, Laws and Regulations
and any other specifications noted, since the offer stage, otherwise the most stringent requirement
shall be applied.
2. SCOPE OF SUPPLY
This specification and the relevant job P&I drawing define the extension of the scope of supply for
this synthetic oil cooler console. Supply shall include equipment as reported in the relevant P&ID,
within the terminal points. Manufacturer shall realize a product complete in all its components,
assembled and ready to use.

The skid shall be able to resist to the transportation load following indicated. The Supplier shall
design the structure and select the anchor bolts considering:

5. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The console shall be made up of a welded metal frame that shall accommodate all the items shown
on reference P&ID. All component parts shall be bracketed and positioned in a way to ensure
accessibility for inspections and maintenance without requiring cutting of skid main structural
members. Vendor supplied drawings shall clearly show any maintenance clearance that is
necessary around the exchanger.
The console shall be provided with connections for the piping interconnected with the turbine base
plate.
6.2 Bracing
The primary members shall be designed and adequately cross-braced to prevent flexing or
distortion of frame, plates, piping, conduit, tubing, etc. during lifting, transportation, and installation.
Equipment mounted on heat exchanger shall not be considered as bracing.

7. MATERIALS

for sea water

Stainless steel components shall be positively segregated from carbon steel in order to prevent
galvanic corrosion. Segregation will be made by means of a plastic (PTFE) inserts. The use of
aluminium shall not be permitted.
- Inspection on the assembled product according to ITW71000 par. 12.2 that includes:

9.1 Painting
Painting shall be performed in accordance to the Painting Specification SOM6628735.
9.2 Cleaning
The equipment and piping shall be dried after hydro test and internal perfectly cleaned. Each
opening shall be sealed to avoid contamination during shipping.
9.3 Protection
All openings, flange faces, threaded connections, valve stems, and other component parts subject
to mechanical damage or corrosion shall be adequately protected. Such protection shall consist of,
but not be limited to:
- Bolted flange covers
- Sealing with waterproof tape
- Enclosing with temporary metal housings
- Coating of all machined and threaded surfaces to prevent rust
- Protective covers on lubrication fittings
This protection shall be applied to all components—those removed and boxed, and those remaining
in place on the skid assembly.
