The following applies when checking:

Temperature: Normal working temperature
Main pressure (neutral): 1.45–1.68 MPa (210–244 psi)
Clutch pressure, 1.35–1.58 MPa (196–229 psi)
1st - 4th Forward - Reverse:
Torque converter pressure, 0.26–0.39 MPa ( 38–57 psi)
(out, neutral):

Checking

3. Warm up the machine.

4. Remove the rear wall lining in the cab so that the electrical distribution box becomes accessible.

5. Disconnect connector EY from the electrical distribution box.

Disconnect connector EA from the electronic control unit and connect it to connector EZ in the elec trical distribution
box, see Fig.
NOTE!
This is to be able to check the clutch pressure for the 4th gear without activating the automatic shifting.

Main pressure (alt. 1)

6. Read off on the service display unit.

Figure 2

1. Pressure outlet, gear selector valve

Remove the cover door on the left side behind the cab.
Connect a pressure gauge to the pressure outlet, Fig.
Use gauge 11 666 018.

8. Move the selector control to neutral position.

Start the engine and run it at high idling and read off on the pressure gauge.

9. Remove the pressure gauge and re-fit cover door.

5. Pressure outlet, lubricating oil pressure (fitted with quick-action coupling)

Check the clutch pressure for gears 1, 2, 3, and 4 at pressure outlets 1, 2, 3, and 4, see Fig.
Start the engine and run it at high idling and read off on the pressure gauge for each gear.
Use measuring nipple 930032 where there is not one fitted already.
Use pressure gauge 11 666 018. The outlets for 3rd gear are provided with quick -action couplings.

NOTE!
Service and parking brakes should be applied.
Clutch pressure, forward and reverse gears

Figure 4

F Clutch pressure, forward clutch

R Clutch pressure, reverse clutch

Open the cover door on the right side under the cab, fit measuring nipples (930032) on the oil dist ributor for forward/
reverse gear shaft, see Fig.
Use gauge 11 66 018.

12. Check the pressures for the forward and the reverse gears.
The selector control should be in the 3rd gear position.
Start the engine and run it at high idling and read off on the pressure gauge.

13. Remove the measuring nipples and re-fit the plugs in the oil distributor.

Lubricating oil pressure

14. Connect the pressure gauge to the panel under the entry step on the left side. See Fig. Figure 3 Item 5.
Start the engine and run it at high idling.
Read off on the pressure gauge. Use pressure gauge 11 666 017.

Torque converter pressure

15.

Figure 5

1. Pressure outlet, torque converter valve

Remove the cover door on the right side behind the cab and connect the pressure gauge to the torque converter
pressure valve, see Fig.
Start the engine and run it at high idling.
The gear selector should be in neutral.
Read off on the pressure gauge. Use gauge 11 666 017.

16. Move the connector EA back from the EZ connector to the electronic control unit.
Connect connector EY to the corresponding connector in the electrical distribution box, see Fig. Figure 1

17. Put back the lining over the electrical distribution box on the rear wall.

Any operating interruptions caused by internal leakage in the gear selector valve or leakage betwe en the clutch shaft and the oil
distributor, can be discovered if all pressures for the transmission are checked at the same time as described above.
