With our current situation, this kind of learning platform and me as your teacher, what

are your expectations in this class?

The COVID-19 has changed our ‘normal’ way of living. In the past few months,
the invisible enemy has gone global affecting almost all countries, societies, health
systems and our studies. Now, we are implementing and adapting the international
standard of education which involves the use of advanced technology. Using this
blended kind of learning, I am expecting that the internet connection will sometimes
interrupt my studies. Nonetheless, I will do my best to attend and submit any
requirement for the class on time. I am highly expecting a relaxed and understanding
subject teacher that will give his best on lending his time, effort and expertise to his
students.

Why did you choose your course (and major)?

I have chosen Bachelor of Secondary Education because I was inspired by my

mother who is a values education teacher. I was amazed on how important their role
is in moulding the future generation. They are doing their best every day, lending their
time, effort and expertise to educate students. I chose Filipino major because I had
been a journalist that belongs to Filipino category. I was part of collaborative desktop
publishing team (elementary) and radio broadcasting team (senior high school).
Furthermore, I remember being sad and against of the removal of Filipino and
Panitikan subjects as a core subject for tertiary level. It embodies our culture, our
country and us being Filipinos. With that, I was able to decide and choose Filipino as
my major because I believe that through this, I can preserve our own language for our
future generation.
