JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Assistant project manager

Department: Project Team

Reporting to: Senior Project Manager

Location: Mumbai

Job Purpose: To support the project management team and contribute to the
effective delivery of the project portfolio.

Roles and
 To undertake specific tasks on identified projects, under the
responsibilities:
supervision of a Project Manager, including:
o Completing relevant project documentation.
o Formulating and updating project schedules using
Microsoft Project.
o Participating in project definition workshops
o Managing risks and issues
o Managing specified budget lines
 Estimate project costs as required as part of the annual
planning process using existing cost models
 Inputting Project Plans into the Planning system ensuring
accurate cost and resource estimating
 Logging and tracking all Project Plans and project
documentation
 Coordinating the consultation process with all stakeholders
ensuring an accurate and secure audit trail of documents and
key decisions
 Arrange Contracts, raise Purchase Orders and expenditure
authorisation forms for approval and chase invoices to ensure
accurate payment
 To work as part of a team

Qualification: MBA in “Construction management” or PGP-ACM from


NICMAR

Skills/Knowledge:
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Excellent interpersonal skills
 Excellent organisational skills
 Some knowledge of project management approaches
 Good IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
Microsoft Project.
 A flexible approach and the ability to work effectively with
others
 Attention to detail with an ability to work autonomously
and with appropriate reference to senior colleagues.

Experience:
 Experience of working in a pressured environment and
effectively managing competing demands in short
timescales

 Experience of working as part of a team delivering


complex tasks
 Understanding of modern technologies and project
management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Planning engineer

Department: Project planning Team

Reporting to: Planning manager and head

Location: Pune

Job Purpose: To support the project planning team and contribute to the effective delivery of
the project portfolio.

Roles and
responsibilities:  Create Project Execution Plans
 Project Monitoring and Reporting
 Perform Project Coordination
 Manage Stakeholder and Team Communication
 Drive Process Improvement
 Deciding on proper engineering techniques and milestone
sequences for each project stage
 identify gaps in key performance areas and plan activities to
increase overall project efficiency
 Provide guidance and deliver schedules to facilitate project
execution strategy.

Planning engineers working in an office environment should be


comfortable using the following software and equipment.

 Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Access


Database)
 3D Modeling software (AutoCAD)
 Project management tools

 Engineering skills – planning engineers need a strong understanding


of technical engineering principles to predict future problems and
find solutions for them
 Strategic planning – the primary job of planning engineers is
determining the necessary path for a project to get completed on time
 Project management – understanding how to scope a project and
create work schedules to ensure completion within the timeframe
and budget allotted is a key duty of planning engineer
 Teamwork – planning engineers interact effectively with cross-
functional team members and external stakeholders at various levels
of responsibility
 Mathematical skills – high levels of mathematical skills and
analytical problem-solving are critical to the performance of this role
 Communication skills – planning engineers need strong verbal and
written skills to provide reports to clients and stakeholders as well as
articulate complex project plans to team members
 Computer skills – planning engineers use specialized computer
software for engineering and project management purposes, and also
to produce visual presentations, using bar charts and graphs to
explain work schedules

EXPERIENCE:

 Employers typically seek a minimum of two years of professional


engineering experience and technical knowledge of computers.

 Candidates with a Professional Engineering (PE) license are


especially attractive.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Construction manager

Reporting to: General manager

Location: MUMBAI

Job Purpose: A reliable Construction Manager to plan construction projects and


oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner and
responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the
projects.

Roles and responsibilities:

1) Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet
deadlines.

2) Determine labour requirements and dispatch workers to construction


sites.

3) Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and


safety codes, and other regulations.

4) Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff,


workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.

5) Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to


contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and
subcontractors.

6) Obtain all necessary permits and licenses.

7) Direct and supervise workers.

8) Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction


methods.

9) Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of


the project, such as painting or plumbing.

10) Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects.

11) Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking
reports.

12) Develop and implement quality control programs.

13) Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or
emergencies at construction site.

14) Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design


professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures,
complaints, and construction problems.

and methods
 Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and
relevant rules, regulations and quality standards

QUALIFICATION:

Master degree in “construction management” with 6-8 years of


experience as an “Assistant construction manager”
