CONCLUSION
The above note briefly describes the strategy indicated in the tender document and its conformity with requirements
of the BS code and available IS codes for achieving the desired service life of 120 years.
Hence,it is felt that the minimum requirements recommended regarding grade of concrete,crack widths, cover to
reinforcement, permeability and RCPT limits, etc will be applicable to achieve the desired 120 years Design life of the
tunnel segments. The concrete mix shall be designed as per the recommendations given in this design note and the
tests results of same shall be approved by designer and engineer in charge of employer.
