Accomplishments of 2018

Over $150,000. That’s how much PALAV was able

to donate in 2018. PALAV works with many
hospitals throughout the world, using our medical
expertise, knowledge, and amazing volunteers to
help save prematurely born babies with weak

Intensive care Unit at Sane Guruji Hospital, near Hadapsar. It was a
donation of warmers, jaundice diagnosis and therapy equipment,
ventilators, CPAP units, IV pumps. In addition, we also created a
training grid for nurses, resident doctors and parents to understand
and treat sick newborns.
2. We updated two more hospitals with similar support:
Bhandardara Peripheral health center, Tarachand hospital, Pune.
These three projects alone totaled $120,000 of support
3. We are supporting pediatric residents to Africa and India to learn
Global Pediatrics, provide teaching to their peers, and conduct
impact analyses.
4. We have started a campaign to improve breast-feeding in
Detroit. Rotary supports this campaign and will involve co-
coordinating efforts to improve breast-feeding acceptance in
community and corporate world.
