“ My Impression”

German Cuisine

My impression about the German cuisine is that it is a

wholesome and healthy cuisine with plenty of interesting
specialties. None of it weird, none of it tedious just good,
yummy food you can dig into and feel nourished by.
Much of it has been bastardised with white flour. Like
what,

I’ve cooked during our laboratory time, actually We, the

team germany, are actually cooking individually that time. Since we’re the one who reported
about the German cuisine. The menu that I, have chosen was the German Pork Schnitzel. It was
fun and a little bit challenging. Because before we had our laboratory time. I, often watch videos
in cooking German Pork Schnitzel on youtube. For me to learned simple techniques in cooking
that menu. I, am very happy that I, have done it successfully. Even though, I was not able to
really get the real taste of that menu. What is important is that I, am happy and I had so much
fun.

Mexican Cuisine

My impression about the Mexican cuisine is that I’m kinda confused with the taste and aroma of
their foods. Because its more on Spices, like Paprika, and Chili Powder. During our laboratory
time, upon preparing the food. I can really smell the meat which is marinated with Paprika and
Cumin, etc. Honestly, I didn’t like the smell, because it smells awful, and the smell really clings
to your hand. Even though you’ve washed it already. When we started cooking, the smell really
suffocated me in the kitchen. But, good thing about the Mexican cuisine even if the smell is not
really good, when it’s already cooked the taste is good but of course the smell is there too but,
it’s the chili powder that makes the food delicious. We’ll for me the taste is good, we had
different taste buds. It’s just that the smell is not good at all, but I’ve enjoyed cooking Mexican
cuisine.

Italian Cuisine

My impression about the Italian cuisine is that it’s more on pasta’s and pizza’s. Arguably, one of
the famous Italian dishes in the world , is the spaghetti. Unfortunately, it is not an authentic
Italian dish. But, we Filipinos loves to eat spaghetti, it’s one of our staple food here in the
Philippines, most especially when we have gatherings at home. I had so much fun also in
cooking one of the famous menu in Italian cuisine, which is the Spaghetti with Bolognese sauce.
I, am also glad that we come up with a very delicious menu. I have nothing to say against the
Italian cuisine, because we’re actually used to their art in cooking, like putting a tomato sauce in
cooking to add some flavor and color to our foods. I think this is one of my favorite cuisine so
far because, there’s no struggles in cooking their menus, you will always comes up with a very
delicious one.

French Cuisine

My impression about the French cuisine is that, this cuisine is really cool. Since, French cuisine
is more on adding wine or liquor in their foods. During our laboratory one of my group mate
performed flambé in front of us. Its really amazing but in my part I’m a little bit sad because, I
was not able to experience flambéing while cooking. But, it’s ok because I’ve witnessed it. I
thought, it was that hard but, I was wrong. In my opinion French cuisines would not be
completed without flambéing. It’s part of their art in cooking. I know we had a lot of differences
when it comes to the art of cooking and cooking techniques. But, I can say that French cuisine is
one of the most incredible and cool cuisine for me, their foods were amazing also. It tastes good,
even though, you can particularly taste the alcohol or smell the aroma. But, it doesn’t matter
anymore because it’s very delicious.

Chinese Cuisine
My impression about the Chinese Cuisine is that, for me In general, the style of Chinese food is
really creative, and resourceful.They all blend in harmony and result in good taste. Like what
we’ve cooked during our laboratory time. Which is the Pork Sweet&Sour the III, the taste was
really good most especially the sauce it’s perfect. I have this thought also, that asian dishes have
this taste in common. Because, when I taste our menu, It’s very familiar. I, said to myself that I’
was like I’ve tasted it before. China, was such a very nice place. And I can say that most of their
dishes are very delicious. Even if I’ve only taste few of their best main dishes.

American Cuisine
Well, for me Italian and American has this things in common. Because, as what I have read on
some of the information in google. Mostly American’s and Italian’s have these common in taste.
Where, in fact we Filipinos too loves to eat American foods. My impression to this cuisine is that
American Cuisine is more on meats, because they love to eat meats. As, what the reporter says
that hamburgers are introduced by the American. Our main dish during our laboratory time is the
Chicken Friedsteak with white sauce. It was delicious, it’s easy to cook also. American cuisine is
one of my favorite cuisine because this cuisines are literally delicious in America.

Cuisines in Middle East (EGYPT)

The country that was assigned to us was the Egypt or the Egyptian cuisine. At first were very
confused about this country. Because of course it’s actually our first time to cook a dish in
Egypt. But, we come up with the decision that were going to choose an easy recipe. For us not to
have troubles in cooking. So, we choose Chicken Kebab with Hawaiian Sauce, so for me its
somehow easy and hustle free recipe. Because the cooking method that weve done is, we just
barbecue the meats with tomato and cucumber. I don’t really have an idea about the Egyptian
cuisine but, a big thanks to google because we come up with a very easy recipe. Yet, somehow
delicious.

Asian Cuisine (SINGAPORE)

Asian Cuisine, for me their cuisines this taste in common, but their using different spices. I think
that almost all country that are part of Asian Cuisine are very delicious. Actually here in the
Philippines there’s a lot of Korean, Japanese, and Thai Restaurants here. That’s why Filipinos
are already used to their cuisines, and for me it’s delicious most especially the Korean recipes,
So, my impression for this cuisine is that the recipes are very visible here in Bayawan City.
During our laboratory time we choose to cook the Singaporean Recipe, which is the Singapore’s
best chicken wings. For me its really to cook that recipe, and its delicious also. We, included also
making Kimchi and Sushi Roll, it’s really fun preparing those foods.
