The methodology describes the flow and process of the experiment.

In this section, the methodology

was divided into three respectively named as :

Preparation, Observation and Data Gathering

Under the Preparation, there was 5 processes that were followed.

To start the experiment, we, the researchers, were asked to pick or choose the crop to be used in this
activity where the crops should take a short duration such as weeks to germinate. In our group, 2 of our
members used the mungbean or munggo and the other 2 chooses petchay.

After choosing the crop, the next task to be completed is preparing and creating our own recyclable
pots. Using used plastic bottles, it was cut into half and the bottom part were placed by holes for the
drainage of the water

Having our pots prepared, it is now time to label them as the crops would be distributed to various light
treatment. 3 replicates would be used for each treatment making 9 pots overall to be used. The pots
was labeled as t0r1-tor3, and t1r1-t1r3 and t2r2-t2r3 which will be further elaborated at the following
procedure. After this we placed the soil. Clay loam soil was highly recommended by the instructor for
crop production

Having all the materials prepared, it is the time to sow our seeds were 5 seeds will be used per pot for
smaller seeds and 3 seeds for larger seeds. Since, the chosen crop have small seeds, the seeds placed in
each pot were 5 each.

Then, the pots were placed int 3 different light conditions. The full light treatment, which is denoted as
T0, the shaded treatment denoted as t1, and lastly the indoor light treatment which is denoted ay t2.
This plays a vital role as it would be the focus of the experiment.

As the preparation were done, the next procedure is the Observation

Under the observation process,

As for the observation, it is important to irrigate our water as the water is a main component to the
growth of plant. Observing the soil if dry or wet is a useful way to determine the time to irrigate our
crops.

Another thing to be considered the outlook of the plant as it may have fungal growth, weeds or water
lodging.

Lastly, once our seeds show its true leaves and germinated, it is important to apply the thinning process
in able for us to focus on the 2-dominant part of the plant. It was chosen based from being vigorous to
its plant height and leaves.

On the Data gathering procedure, we were assign to measure the height of the plants by placing a ruler
through its base and placing the tip of the crop to determine its measurement. Moreover, taking
pictures everyday of our plants was also utilized to determine it morphological data. The data to be
gathered for 14 days would be graph to represent the trend of the growth of each treatment. We will
now proceed to the Results and discussion.
