Cummins Engines Overhaul

Service Scope
Main Engine System
 Cylinder heads inspect for reuse: Removal of intake manifolds, exhaust
manifold, valve mechanism and covers, replacement of injectors sleeves.
Inspection visual and measuring of the cylinder head. Replacement of valves seat,
guides, valves intakes, valves exhausts and seals
 Cylinder package inspect for reuse: Removal of Crankcase, oil pump and
lines, and cylinder package. Inspection visual and measuring of the body piston,
pin piston, connecting rod for reuse. Replacement of rings pistons and main
bearings.
 Gear train removal and installation: Disassembly of the front and rear
housing, removal of the connecting rod bearing caps and main bearing caps,
removal and installation of the crankshaft
 Damper Inspect for reuse: Removal of the guards for visual inspection
 Removal/Installation of Crankshaft: Disassembly of the front housing,
flywheel and rear housing, removal of the connecting rod bearing caps and main
bearing caps, removal, inspection and re-installation of the crankshaft. Depending
on the state of the crankshaft, it will be machined or replaced.
 Replacement of Camshaft Bushing: Camshaft removal, bushing
replacement, camshaft re-installation
 Engine cleaning: Conditioning and cleaning of all components and parts.
 Replacements of seals, gaskets, clamps and packing.
 Cam followers: Inspection visual and measuring for reuse

Fuel System
 Replacement of seals and gasket
 Replacement of fuel injectors: Removal and installation of new components,
adjustment of the valve lash (intake and exhaust).
  Replacement of fuel transfer pump: Removal of fuel lines, drainage of the
remaining fuel and removal of transfer pump. Replacement of components and
reconnection of lines and hoses.
 Fuel filter replacement

Air System
 Replacement of turbochargers: Removal of air filters, air filter housing, air
hoses and lines, lubrication lines, cooling lines, turbocharger supports and base.
 Replacement of gaskets seals and clamps.
 Inspection of Aftercooler: Removal of intake manifold, cooling and air lines
housing for aftercooler clean and test, re-installation of removed components.
 Air filter replacement

Cooling System
 Water pump replacement: Removal and installation of cooling lines and
water pump.
 Replacement of auxiliary water pump: Removal and Installation of cooling
lines and water pump.

Lubrication System

 Oil filter replacement

 Removal, inspection of the oil cooler : Removal and Installation of lubrication
and cooling lines, removal, inspection and installation of oil cooler and
components.

Control System
  Replacement of the actuator control: Removal and Installation of the
actuator control system

Operation test without load: Engine ignition, injector function test, confirmation of
operating parameters.

Operation test with load: Confirmation of operating parameters and load factors.

Technical report: Technical report indicating the stages of the disassembly,

inspection and assembly processes of the equipment according to factory
specifications.
