Engine Overhaul Includes:
 Cleaning all engine parts in a cleaning solution.
 Inspection of crankshaft
 Replace heads with re-man to current
specification.
 Clean/Inspect Pre-chamber Valves and upgrade
to latest specification.
 Replace Pre-chamber check valves
 Inspect/clean Pistons
 Inspect/clean Liners
 Inspection of liner deck
 Inspect components during disassembly
 Replace piston rings
 Inspection and polishing of connecting rods
 Install new rod bearings
 Install new main bearings
 Install new thrust bearings
 Replace oil pump with Cat reman
 Replace water pump with Cat reman
 Replace auxiliary water pump with Cat reman
 Recondition gas admission valves
 Replace front and rear crankshaft seals
 Replace oil thermostats with new
 Replace camshaft bearings
 Inspect rocker arm assembly
 Replace rocker arm bushings
 Inspection and testing of aftercooler
 Inspection and testing of oil cooler
 Clean and inspect oil pump suction screen
 Inspect Lube Oil priority valve for proper
operation.

 Replace Spark Plugs
 Inspect and reseal exhaust segments. Replace
bolts.
 Level 1 Turbocharger Service
 Inspection of cylinder block
 Rebearing and reseal wastegate
 Inspect front and rear gear train.
 Inspect camshaft and cam lifters
 Inspect vibration damper
 Rebearing and reseal choke.
 Replace main fuel valve
 Inspect flywheel ring gear
 Replace Exhaust blanket
 Installation of gaskets and seals necessary to
complete above repairs.
 Install new oil filters
 Load Test Engine
 Paint engine.

Caterpillar parts reusability specifications will be
used where applicable.
Assumes all Caterpillar Cores meet Cat core
acceptance policies.
