The current educational objectives of the Geodetic Engineering program are:

Three to five years after graduation, the Geodetic Engineering alumni:


1. Must have advanced their practice in the field of surveying, digital mapping, remote sensing, spatial data handling for land and geographic
information systems;
2. Must strive to be globally competitive through upholding the CSU mission values, pursuing continuing education, and continuously advancing
personal growth; and
3. Must respond to the holistic demand for a geodetic engineer in protecting the environment, human life and property, promoting socio-
economic development, and in providing innovative systems for good governance and community service.

COURSE TITLE Theory of Errors and Adjustments
COURSE DESCRIPTION The course Theory of Errors and Adjustments focuses on the probability of the occurrence and propagation of error, theory of least squares, method of
observation and condition equations for the adjustments of linear and non-linear geodetic models, and techniques of curve-fitting

Part III: Class Policies and Grading System

Class Policies:
a. Attendance. Attendance is checked 15 minute while the class will start.
b. Major Examination. There will be three (3) major examinations (Prelim, Midterm and Finals) whose schedule will follow the schedule provided
by the registrar’s office.
c. Quizzes. Quizzes will also be given which will constitute a percentage of the final grade.

d. Participation. During the discussion, the instructor select student to participate the solving problems.
