General Instructions:
1. Paper is divided in to two parts : MCQ and Question Answer
2. Part-A (MCQ) has already been shared via forms at 09:57 AM and this paper
consists questions of part B.
3. For, Part B, open a fresh excel / word document and name it as
Program_Course_Name_Roll No. The file name will look like this:
PGDM_IM_MEB_Raj_2019210123.
4. Start typing answers of questions in that word file. Ensure you keep saving
your word file periodically and have kept your laptop in charging.
5. After you finish your paper, you have to upload the answer sheet via teams’
assignment option.
6. If you have opted for paper pen method then scan your answers and upload
final PDF file (with lesser MB) via team’s assignment option. The PDF file name
should also look like this: PGDM_IM_MEB_Raj_2019210123..
7. Please adhere to the time-limit strictly. Any submission after 12:00 Noon will
be considered as late submission and appropriate deduction of marks will be
applicable.
8. The total duration of the paper includes 15 minutes for the submission
process.

Question 1: [22 Marks]

Refer to Case: The Kashagan Production Sharing agreement in the course reader
and answer following questions (total word limit: 2000):
A. What are the various options available to ENI consortia in 2007 when it
announced that the project will not be done until 2010? Analyze each
option independently in detail with various PSA flows as per existing PSA?

B. Comment on the contracts governing relations between international oil


companies (IOC 's), national oil companies (NOC 's), and host nations in the
development of any major oil field? [15 Marks]

Question 2:
If the gas price is Rs.100/MMBtu, power price is Rs. A /KWh and heat rate
8MMBtu/MWh. Please show the calculations. Assume A as your birth date.
[4 x 2 marks each = 8 Marks]

(a) Calculate the spark spread

(b) If the carbon price is Rs. B /Tonne CO2e and emission factor is 53kg CO2/
MMBtu of natural gas, Calculate the clean spark spread. Assume B to be your
birth year.

(c) Calculate spark spread if gas price changes from Rs. A*10 /MMBtu to Rs.
C*10/MMBtu. Assume A as your birth date and C to be your birth month.

(d) Calculate clean spark spread if gas price changes from Rs. A*10/MMBtu to Rs.
C*10/MMBtu. Assume A as your birth date and C to be your birth month.
