1. Mobile Reader

1.1. A mobile reader shall be available to enhance the capabilities of the mobile device
application.

1.2. The mobile reader shall be capable of reading Mifare cards and shall display (but not
be limited to) the following cardholder information:

1.2.1. name,

1.2.2. the last entered access zone, including date/time,

1.2.3. image,

1.2.4. access groups,

1.2.5. user defined data fields,

1.2.6. other access tokens.

1.3. The mobile reader shall support (but not be limited to):

1.3.1. Mifare Classic,

1.3.2. Mifare Plus,

1.3.3. Mifare DESFire EV2.

1.4. The mobile reader hardware device shall have a “hot key” to launch the card read
screen and allow the operator to quickly read cards while in any other screen of the
mobile device application.

1.5. It shall be possible for the mobile reader to log a cardholder into or out of an access
zone in the same manner as if the cardholder presented their card to a fixed access
control reader.

1.6. The cardholder credentials shall be authenticated by the ISMS and displayed in the
user interface, clearly indicating an access granted or denied decision.

1.7. Access granted and denied decisions shall be indicated by different audio tones.

1.8. It shall be possible to continuously read cards without pressing any additional “Read
Card” buttons.
