Three Filipino Entrepreneurs’ businesses and their impact on Filipino people, the national

economy, and society.

Entrepreneurs’ experiences are indeed inspiring, their passion and willingness lead them to
their goals. Here are the three Filipino entrepreneurs that got my attention. First is Rajo Laurel,
one of the famous fashion designers in the Philippines. His works always stand out and are
admired by many just like a piece of art. He is the founder of Laurel et Ross Enterprise, Inc. that
has built multiple brands and crafted clothing lines to dress the country's elite and international
people. He is also one of the designers that made waves in the global market and he aims to
maintain it. Recently Laurel signed an agreement with NGCP's Project Baro, it hopes to improve
the economic conditions through making corporate uniforms with the use of local materials
produced by Miagao Weavers’ Association (MWA). It is a good idea for promoting local
products and this proves that the country’s fashion industry has a big impact on our economic
growth and society. Second is Carl Ocab the founder of Carl Ocab Internet Marketing Services
and one of the young Filipino entrepreneurs who started his business venture at the age of 13.
Internet marketing has many advantages to people and in the business field such as it is a low
cost than marketing them through a physical retail outlet, convenient way of selling, your
products will be advertised all over the internet, and many more. Lastly, Mica Tan the millennial
CEO of the MFT Group of Companies. MFT Group is a private equity firm and focuses on
helping businesses of all kinds, from entrepreneurial startups or growing businesses. They make
investments in the private equity of startup companies that’s why people in the business industry
found it helpful in starting up a business. It also has an impact on our economic growth because
it operates not just in the Philippines but worldwide. They're just only a few out of many
entrepreneurs here in the Philippines that boost our economic growth.
