Shri Govil further stated that in view of the hardship faced by BSNL
prepaid mobile subscribers whose validity expired during the lockdown period
and are unable to recharge for extension of validity, BSNL is extending the
validity of all such subscribers upto 5 th May so that such customers continue to
receive incoming calls.
He also stated that BSNL has launched a “recharge helpline” on toll free
no. 5670099 for subscribers with facility of “Ghar Baithe Recharge” and
“Apno ki Madad se recharge” for all subscribers who are not able to recharge
through digital platforms. In “Ghar Baithe Recharge”, subscriber can register
request for recharge over the toll free number and BSNL will send a retailer or
an agent at his doorstep to provide the requested recharge. “Apno ki Madad se
recharge” feature allows subscribers to request a recharge from a fried of
family member. BSNL urges all citizens to extend helping hand to the needy
people around them by doing recharge for them.
He also intimated that all Customer Service Centres (CSCs) of BSNL are
open in Assam with normal working hours for facilitating the customers for bill
payment, recharge facility, booking of new connections etc.
