1. If I were nurse Genalyn , I will just ignore what the clerk and the long term nurse told me
because I didn’t know Dr. Reyes personally its hard to judge people easily when you didn’t get
to know them yet. I will just approach him professionally and treat him politely and just do my
job correctly but if the Doctor humiliates me and yells at me without any reason I will
personally confront him so there isn’t no misunderstandings in the future.

2. The nurse shows technical mastery that inspires others to do above performance Intellectual,
administrative skills and also has a good human relationships with others.
Leadership at the unit and hospital levels is essential to ensure excellence in practice, as well as
adequate clinical governance. It is about promoting the intellectual stimulation of individual
staff members regardless of the setting by communicating a clear vision, motivating a team to
achieve a common goal, communicating effectively with others, creating and sustaining the
critical elements of a healthy work environment and implementing change and innovation.
In order to develop this type of leadership skill a nurse should

 Seek out additional responsibilities- by seeking out additional responsibilities in a

current position, a nurse can demonstrate leadership qualities. Fill in when additional
support is needed or take initiative to assist other staff with patient tasks. If an employer
offers ongoing training groups or volunteer programs, a nurse can also use these
opportunities to highlight additional work characteristics, including leadership.
 Always keep the patient in mind- nurse leaders should be compassionate and
empathetic. It can be easy to get caught up in the day-to-day role of the busy nurse.
While organized work stations and carefully detailed paperwork are important in the
medical industry, it is crucial to always keep the patient in mind. Continue to work on
skills in empathy and understanding and you will find that compassion and patient-
centered care comes easy.
 Continue to learn- The medical industry is quickly changing, making it crucial to keep up
with the latest trends. Whether you attend nursing conferences, subscribe to a nursing
publication, read medical books or continue to attend an academic nursing program,
nurse leaders are always working to improve their knowledge in the nursing industry.
3. I would start a new structure not allowing employees to know each others pay so there were
no animosity among the staff due to pay. The older staff with more experience were welcoming
new staff in and show them the ways that things are done there. For me money is a
motivational factor, its human nature because money fulfills needs.

a. The head nurse should take the family to the side and explain the risks their son is taking
by eating the foods they are bringing in for him. Let them know that during normal
hours he can have visitors but after a certain time it is only allowed parents to stay with
him. The other staff should make notes and report to the head nurse but not take it
upon themselves to fix the scene. This way the person in charge the "head nurse" shows
to be the authoritative figure to the family and not feeling threatened or bullied by
other nurses and staff.
b. 3 Objectives would be:
 To get the family to cohere with hospital policy
 Assist the patient, and
 Keep staff from overstepping boundaries
