4 Habits of Autotelic Personalities in Over-coming stress

January 31, 2016 • 3 Suka • 0 Komentar

"FLOW" is a described by Professor Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi as a state that occurs at the

cross -section of High Challenge and High Skill Level applied. In essence, it's what an
Autotelic Personality experiences with work/activity that is deeply connected and
meaningful.

A very interesting set of points in the book "FLOW" are the four habits of autotelic
personalities in over-coming stress:

1. Always setting goals, even for small things

One example would be setting a goal to attend a networking function and paying
very close attention to each person you meet. You can learn what each persons goals
are and their habits. This is a goal that can be attained simply for the sake of being
able to later relate to each individual.

2. Paying attention at all times

Attention is in their own control

They don’t use stereotypes

Freshly noticing their environments.

3. Immersed in the activity at hand

4. Always learning

Constantly translating what they learn win to goals and leadership
