Die Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for addressing throughput, run to run, and downtime related
issues with die equipment in a production environment .Die Maintenance Supervisor is accountable for
supervising all Tool & Die related personnel in the maintenance department. This individual’s
responsibility will include scheduling and planning of die repairs, establishing PM programs,
troubleshooting, along with the repair and altering of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures as necessary for
normal day to day operations.

2. Responsibilities and Authority
Inspect and repair dies as needed when problem occurs or through the scheduled PM system
Ensure that dies are correct to produce a quality part and increase productivity
Provide strong leadership through troubleshooting press set ups, tooling, and dies to achieve
quality and throughput requirements
Sustain a preventative maintenance tooling program and continue to drive towards reliability
excellence
Supervise Tool & Die related personnel and/or contractors to ensure required maintenance is
performed
Ensure that all equipment used to move and repair dies are inspected at the correct frequency
and are in safe, working condition
Communicate and organize jobs with wire EDM, C.N.C and Engineering Department
Keep up to date on maintenance of machines and preventive maintenance manual
Take appropriate measures to prevent recurrence of Die breakdown or other problem
Capable of independently producing tooling from provided tool drawings and/or I.G.E.S. files
through final fit and assembly, according to proper tool room methods (i.e. deliverables).
Responsible to hire and train all functions under his/her responsibility
Provide leadership in tool building activities
Plan and audit tooling progress, observe safety requirements are followed by all employees
Working with production supervisor to determine priority
Review PM list to determine what dies are scheduled and/or dies that need repairs
Conduct continuous improvement and/or repair when an emergency machine breakdown
occurs
Visually inspect dies for chips, cracks, or defects
Capable of measuring and machining parts to print tolerances
Enforce and ensure that staff follows company rules, regulations, quality management system,
government policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned by management
Bachelor's degree required; OR Die Journeymen status with minimum of 5 years manufacturing
experience; OR Minimum of 10 years of technical/manufacturing experience
Experience with stamping press automation or subassemblies
Must possess a working knowledge of advanced technical problem solving tools, micrometer,
calipers, scales, blueprints, comparator, ordinary standard gages, ordinary special gages, all
department machinery, mills, lathes, grinding machines, drills
Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
Goal oriented and a self-starter and ability to lead and manage in a team based structure
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members
