CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB (Why this role exists & what is the overall aim of this role)

To assist in the management and coordination of the maintenance utility team in delivering the
required service to the relevant departments. Ensure that all utility machinery / equipment meet the
management performance requirements. Ensure that all operations and maintenance activities
meet the defined engineering, safety and quality standards.

1. Agree tasks and targets with Engineering Manager and make plans with Team Managers and
Maintenance Technician for achievement.
2. Motivate, facilitate, support and direct team to achieve tasks to defined and measurable performance
parameters.
3. Report and review performance with Team Members and relevant Managers evaluating results and
outlining improvements.
4. Coordinate and liaise with other teams and management to ensure all relevant information is
communicated efficiently and effectively.
5. Identify, plan and implement requisite training in order to ensure continued development of all team
members ensuring that an adequately maintained skills inventory is in place.
6. Develop the understanding of team concept and empowerment within the teams continuously
improving focus on tasks and results.
7. Develop flexibility within the team while ensuring that all disciplines are carried out competently and
efficiently.
8. Allocate tasks to team members according to current priorities and their talent and skill.
9. Conduct meetings / briefings and reviews with team members developing trust and loyalty within the
team.
10. Ensure full implementation of defined and laid down safety systems and safe practices of work
continually upgrading safety awareness and practices within the team.
11. Ensure GMP is maintained and increased within the team and that all operations are conducted within
the specified quality standards and parameters.
12. Ensure all PM schedules and inspections are executed, documented and filed.
13. Critique and develop PM schedule in line with customised requirements of the Plant.
14. Evaluate system performance and recommend equipment replacement / upgrade and capacity
improvements as part of ongoing continuous improvement policy.
15. Assist in maintenance duties and technical hands-on training.
16. Report Technical Data and Plant status to relevant manager.
17. Ensure corrective actions on all non-conformance / process deviations are effected immediately.
18. Plan with production the facility to execute routine planned maintenance.
19. Ensure that all operational maintenance is carried out and documented as specified.
20. Liaise with supply team to ensure all raw materials are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
21. Provide reports on team product testing.
22. Plan Team rest days and holiday relief ensuring adequate cover at all times.
23. Ensure that budgetary controls are followed.
24. Assist in the preparation of budgets.
25. Focus on Resource Management and cost awareness.
26. Drive team for continuous improvement to become more cost efficient.
27. Liaise with internal customer – Production, Safety and Quality Team Leaders
28. Ensure that all duties are conducted in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures as specified in
the manufacturer’s recommendations and / or Almarai Quality System.
29. Ensure that all members follow specified stores procedures.
30. Ensure that all team members have the required resources to carry out tasks safely and
efficiently.

JOB SPECIFICATION

ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION


ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE
 Minimum Three year full-time Diploma in  5 Years Degree course in Electrical or
