Position: Hydrology Designer

Purpose of the Role:

To provide engineering drawing of settling pond, mine drainage, perimeter ditch, perimeter
bund, finger, culvert, check dam, and other mine hydrology facilities those are accurate,
comprehensive, understandable and constructible, and acoordance with PTVI standards and
procedures

Accountabilities:

Main Accountabilities (5 – 8 accountabilities)

1. Safety : ensuring safety of his/her during work based on Law no.11/1976 Article 29 and
Ministerial Decree 555.K/26/M.PE/1995. The tasks include :
 Completing and ensuring his/her members to use Personnel Protective Equipment
(PPE) according to its function.
 Recognizing danger risk against human, equipment or environment and taking
safety action immediately to avoid the risk.
 Performing tool box meeting each time giving new tasks and doing safety talk at
least once a month and discussion or refreshing Standard Operating Procedure
(SOP) as needed.
 Performing safety inspection/audit at least once a week to the crew, equipment
and work site and immediately following up the results especially if faulty happens.
 Performing investigation in every incident/accident and reporting it to Manager or
OHS officer
 Actively attending/applying safety program and giving example to the crew
through his/her action and possessing certificate of mine supervisor competence
test.
 Following up recommendation based on Accident Report (issued by team or
supervisor)
 Holding certificate K3 or (Preferred Pratama Supervisor competence certificate –
POP).

2. Checking and Assigning Tasks


 Design drafting of engineering drawings that comply with PTVI standards and area
accurate, usable, maintainable, comprehensive, understandable and constructible.
 Material take-off and preparation of Bill of Material, for accurate estimation of
costs and procurement of materials.
 As-built record updating, to ensure accurate records for PTVI Maintenance
operations.
 Document preparation and issue in accordance with PTVI Standard to ensure no
duplication of drawings and quick identification and quick recovery of drawing
records.
 Develop design drawings requirements in conjunction with the Hydrology Engineer
and Senior Hydrology Designer, to enable construction and maintenance.
 Field investigation to verify information to meet objective safety, constructability
and maintainability.
 Complete checking and verification of designs, details and dimensions complete
by other designers for compliance with PTVI standards.
 Substituting senior Hydrology designer in case of his/her absence.

3. Briefing
 Explaining how to accomplish the tasks, reminding team to work in line with SOP
and prioritizing K3L.
 Findings alternatives (work force, equipment and work place) when interruption
happens during work operation.
 Asking question to subordinates/contractors to make them sure that they
understood task explanation by building solid two-way communication with
employees.

4. Follow up
 Determining and collectively making plan to follow up the tasks assigned to
subordinates/contractors.
 Always checking the work progress and findings correct or defect in its
accomplishment.
 Identifying early deviation against target planning including quantity, quality, and
recorded time in his/her superior.
 Performing correction by analyzing and determinating the causes and taking
appropriate action.

Technical Specialization:

 Able to utilize technical software application (auto-Cad Civil 3D, Vulcan, ArcGIS, Global Mapper)
 Able to operate Ms. Office software (Ms. Excel, Ms. Word, Ms. Power Point)
 Have numerical, statistical, hydrological and light civil structural.
 Have soft skills and leadership to coordinate, organize and supervise technical matters
 Able to speak English active and passive

 Able to communicate properly with all levels.

Requirements:

1. Minimum undergraduate degree any discipline.


2. Minimum 3 years working experience in Geotech Hydrology
3. Certified Pengawas Operasional Pratama (POP) preferred.
