HAZARDOUS WASTE

1. Only use tool / equipment if you are trained and authorised to use the tool / equipment.
Don’t handle or use hazardous waist if you are not authorised or trained to do so.
2. Always wear the provided PPE.
Report all spills and waste to your supervisor.
3. Know all the warning labels and their meaning.
Ensure that all MSDS’s are in the store and that the information is understood by all.
4. Store all hazardous waists in their correct places.
Don’t mix different hazardous waste materials with others.
5. Follow all safety warning signs and labels.
Never take chances and report all problems to your supervisor.
6. Ensure that a fire extinguisher is readily available.
Ensure that the spillage can contain if there is ever a spillage.
7. Ensure that a certificate is issued by the disposing company who collects the waste.
Keep register of all entries, issues and all returns.
8. Never allow untrained employees to work with the hazardous waste.
