THE ADVANCED DRILLING FLUID

ADDRILL EA (HS) is a high molecular weight partially hydrolyzed Polyacrylamide /
polyacrylate (PHPA) ter-polymer in emulsion form. The product is primarily used as
viscosifier and borehole stabilizer. The product has higher viscosity and better shear and
temperature tolerance. It gives better performance in comparison to plain PHPA
copolymer products.

Application
ADDRILL EA (HS) should be added in fresh water to get a highly viscous drilling fluid. The
marsh funnel viscosity for clay or shale formation should be ≥ 45 seconds per quart (946
ml) and ≥ 60 seconds per quart (946 ml) for sandstone or unconsolidated sand.

Appearance : Liquid off white / whitish emulsion.
Ionic : Anionic
pH (0.5% soln. in distt. water) : 7.5 ± 1.0
Boiling point : ≥ 175o C (For oil phase)
Specific gravity : 1 to 1.1
Solubility : Easily soluble in water.

Characteristics and benefits

1. ADDRILL EA (HS) is a cost effective drilling fluid applicable to all types of drilling
applications like water wells, diamond coring, blast hole and other non coring
drilling operations.
2. Reduces drill pipe torque and pumping pressure.
3. Mixes conveniently with stirring in water.
4. Fluid preparation time reduced drastically as the product develops viscosity rapidly
and
once prepared the fluid is ready for use.
3. High viscosity of this drilling fluid helps in better removal of cuttings from borehole.
5. Reduced recirculation of cutting back into the bore hole because of immediate
settling in the pit.
6. Better shell stabilization prevents water loss through cracks and fissures.

User guidelines
1. Add 1.0 to 3 kg or liter of ADDRILL EA (HS) per 1000 liter of water under
continuous stirring or alternatively it may be added by slowly pouring the product
in the water stream of recirculating pump into the pit.
2. Product is ready for use when desired funnel viscosity is achieved.
3. Hardness and chloride of make up water used for preparing solution of this
product should be less than 150 ppm and 1500 ppm respectively.

Packing: 35 kg HDPE carboy. Higher volume available subject for bulk supply.
