HAZRAT ABU BAKR R.

A
Abu Bakr was born in 537 A.D, in Makah. He belonged to a
respectable and noble family of the Banu Tamim, a branch of
Quraish tribe. At the time of his birth Abu Bakr was named
Abdul Kabah, which the holy Prophet changed with Abdullah
when he embraced Islam. Abu Bakr became a cloth merchant.
He was extremely honest and friendly in his conduct and
dealings. He led a pure and pious life even before Islam. Abu
Bakr was a close friend of the Prophet, he was the first, adult,
man to accept Islam. The holy prophet‫ ﷺ‬said:-” When I invited
people towards Allah, everybody though over it and hesitated
least for a while, except H.Abu Bakr who accepted my call the
movement I put it before him, and he did not hesitated even
for a movement.”As he soon became a Muslim, he began to
preach Islam to others. Among them were H. Uthman, H.Zubair,
H.Abdur Rehman bin Awf, H.Saad bin Awf and Saad bin Abi
Waqas. H.Abu Bakr migrated to Madinah along with the
prophet and stayed with him in the cave of Thaur. He protected
Prophet from the singing of Snake. Regarding this event, the
prophet‫ ﷺ‬said:-“You are my companion in the
cave and my companion at the fountain.” Abu Bakr earned the
title of Siddique because he believed in the prophet Night
Journey. H. Abu Bakr made huge financial contribution to the
Expedition of Tabuk by placing all his wealth. Moreover, he was
appointed the first Amir e Hajj by Prophet. He led the prayer
when the Prophet was in his final illness. He became the the
first caliph of Islam after the death of prophet Muhammad
‫ﷺ‬.
