COMMUNITY INITIATED PROJECTS

1. Declaration of the first and third Saturday of every month as the Novaliches
Peoples Day.
2. Conduct clean-up drive and de-clogging of all canals, esteros, creeks and other
waterways, during the Novaliches people Day, involving. Barangay officials and
employees, NGO’s, POs and other volunteer groups.
3. Motivate the family representative of the members of the 4P’s (Pantawid
Pamilyang Pilipino Program) set 6 & 7, participation of Community Volunteer
Organization of Novaliches (CVON- drug surrenderer), and Novaliches Eco
Warrior’s (NEW’s of Nagkakaisang Kabaihan ng Novaliches Proper, Banawag
with 17 sectors.
4. Collected recyclable materials can be a source of income.

5. Strict compliance to RA9003 “proper Waste Segregation”
6. Conducted of Waste segregation seminar on community.
CONCLUSION
1. There is a need for the relocate the ISF in flood prone area.
2. There is a need to implement the in-city resettlement project such as the
Bistekville project.
3. Complete the concrete rip- raping of the creek wall of the Tulyahan river is
necessary to prevent flooding.
4. Regular Clean-up drive of all creeks, esteros, canals and water ways to prevent
flooding.
5. Continues awareness program is needed.
