AN INTERNSHIP REPORT FOR HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTOR COMPANY Pvt Ltd

This project contains basic aspects of Summer Internship in Harley Davidson Motor
company Pvt Ltd. It also contains the study on the Credit Cards for the Co-brand partners.
One can have a good idea after looking at the presentation about the expectations that the
users and non-users of the credit card holds along with that, they can get to know about the
features and popularity of the cards in the market.

Executive Summary
The 2-months Summer Internship Program at Harley Davidson Motor Company Pvt Ltd is a
vital part of my 2-year PGDM Course. HD-motor company is an American motorcycle
manufacturer founded in 1903 in Milwaukee. In India it is headquartered in Gurugram. I
have been trained under Ms. Shachi Kapoor, Insurance Operations Manager HDFS. The
company is planning to launch their Co-brand Credit Card in India so, for that I had been
assigned with the work related to the Study on Credit cards for Co-brand partners in the
Indian market. My work was to study, compare and analyze different Co-brand credit cards
in the market and find the most popular card used by the customers. I have duly studied 18
premium credit cards for co-brand partners and compared them on the basis of different
features. Afterthe study, comparison and analysis of cards my work was to conduct a survey
for knowing about the expectations of the users and non-users of credit cards so that the
company can add on this feature into there cards.
So, I had conducted the survey by preparing a questionnaire, mentioning about the relevant
questions for the users as well as non-users of credit card. It was a descriptive and analytical
Research in which the sample size of the respondents was 103 and the sampling method
was convenience and snowball sampling. Further in research I found that Customer in
current market looks for utility as well as experience. He looks for Value created based on
usage of the card as well as they use it as an asset to Show off with their associates.
Customer prefer cards which have an attractive offers and discounts specially on dining (e.g.
Zomato). Besides this, as customer is most health conscious, they prefer gym benefit or
sports related vouchers which can complement their needs. Lastly, customer looks for
Credit card limit as they do not want to carry many cards and is also a source of comfort and
trust in a particular bank. Based on my study, customer is concerned with High Rate of
Interest and lack of trust while making the transactions at a retail outlet. Finally, I discussed
the conclusions that I fetched from my research.
