Introduction

As the saying goes,” Health is wealth.” This is true because even if you have plenty of money, but you are always in the
hospital, there is a possibility that all your properties will be lost in paying your hospital bills, for buying medicines and other
payables related to your illness.
In relation to this, World Health Organization and Child Growth Standard through the Department of Education
launched a system of assessing the health of the students by computing the Body Mass Index (BMI) of every student. The BMI
will determine whether they are severely wasted, wasted, normal, overweight or obese. The computation will also be the basis of
the actions on how the department will be able to help students with health problems.
This is really a big help for the students but additional loads for the teachers. Imagine that they have to compute for
the ages of the students, divide their weight with the square of their height to get the BMI, categorize the student base from the
limits from a given table, count how many students are there in every category , compute for some percentages, etcetera. You
also have to consider that you have to do it not only once because you have to monitor the progress of the recipients.
This is the main reason why I created this program. I know that teachers have other works and I wanted to lessen the
time they spend in doing all those things. It also offers more accurate computations.
I do hope that this program will be of great help to whoever will use it. A “thank you” from any user will be a big
consolation for me. Any recommendations will also be accepted and noted to better improve this program.
