Greetings from the Department of Education!

Relative to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID 19) outbreak, the Office of the President has issued
Presidential Proclamation No. 922 s. 2020 declaring a state of health emergency throughout the
Philippines. In response to this, the Department of Education developed a Basic Learning Continuity
Plan (BE-LCP) entitled Learning Opportunities Shall Be Available: The Basic Learning Continuity Plan in
time of Covid 19 that lays down the direction for the basic education for the coming school year.

In preparation for the coming school year, the Department of Education is conducting its new concept
of Annual National Schools Maintenance Week on June 01 - August 29, 2020 where the traditional
physical cleaning,painting, and repairing will no longer happen but it shall focus on preparations and
strengthening partnership engagement to ensure that learning continues even in the time of COVID-
19. This year’s Brigada Eskwela will focus on the support for the provision of learning opportunities
while ensuring that the health, safety and well - being of learners, teachers and personnel are
protected.

Aware of your keen interest in helping improve our public schools, we invite you to be part of this
year’s Brigada Eskwela. You can help by volunteering to help clean and do maintenance services in
our school strictly complying with protocols on social distancing and implementing precautionary
measures consistent with the Department of Health protection and health safety protocols. Donate
cleaning materials, supplies that can be used in preparing and beautifying our school and supplies that
can ensure the good health and safety of the schools’ stakeholders.
