School will be taking place today at School. If you see our special visitors
who would like to lead our great school, please make them feel very
welcome. Our Governors, Ms Carter, Mrs Clift Martin, Mr Shabir and Mr
Carey will also be on site today helping with the selection process. Mr
Roberts, schools advisor from the Council is also coming to school. Thank-
you to Student council members, who are also taking part in the interviews
to find your new Headteacher.

OLYMPIC DREAMS

Stretford High School has been selected as one of the winners of the BBC
and British Council Olympic Dreams School Search. We entered a
competition to say how we at SHS are international in our approach to
developing sport and how this would help us to prepare athletes of the
future. WE WON!!!

This was announced on BBC breakfast news on Wednesday morning. Some of

our lucky students will travel down and stay the night in a luxury hotel along
with other winners from other schools to London in January for a ceremony.
Following that, we will be twinned with a highly successful sports school in
Pakistan and have the chance to visit – with our students!!!!
