1. What are the school facilities that Leyte National High School does not have or
lack?
Respondent 1- classrooms, chairs, comfort rooms, industrial fans.
Respondent 2- they don’t have enough CRs, they still lack more classrooms because of the
increasing growth of the students in LNHS, cleaning utilities.
Respondent 3- I think the school facilities that LNHS lack are comfort rooms, AV Hall, and
Science Laboratory
Respondent 4- LNHS lacks rooms it gives a big effect to the student’s learning.
Respondent 5- CR and rooms for the students.
Respondent 6- classrooms, chairs, comfort rooms
Respondent 7- Comfort rooms

Respondent 9- they lack materials for emergency preparedness, like first aid. They also lack
ventilation in every rooms
Respondent 10- Comfort rooms, locker so that the students won’t bring their books with them
and their bags won’t be heavy.

2. How can these lapses affect you academically?

Respondent 1- For example, you don’t have a chair you cannot write properly. And industrial
fans, you will feel the heat, and you can’t study properly. Classrooms, you will always change
classrooms and you will get tired.
Respondent 2- They can change our academic skills/ academic work here drastically, because
we don’t have a proper classroom, it doesn’t suit our needs, we are having health problems
because of our classrooms here are dirty and our classroom is in the gym.
Respondent 3- These lapses can affect me academically, just like the Science laboratory, it
affects me because during Science time these laboratory were needed for our teacher to
demonstrate those activities.
Respondent 4- In a way that students will be forced to learn outside, and in a way that students
will not be comfortable with their learning environment.
Respondent 5- These lapses may affect me academically in my academic subjects therefore
lowering my grades.
Respondent 6- I can’t’ study well, like sometimes when you go to school the school facilities
are not clean. And the chairs are broken, I can’t write properly and also dirty.
Respondent 7- It does not affect me academically
Respondent 8- in case of emergency, especially if girls have a monthly visit they cannot change
their napkins properly in the comfort rooms.
Respondent 9- in ventilation of rooms, in our side its very hot so I can’t listen properly because
of the heat I’m feeling

3. What are the effects of these lapses to you as a student?

Respondent 1- Your grades will decrease, your work will not be appreciated by the teacher.
Respondent 2- it will effect on me, first of all because I have a health condition I am allergic to
dust and I also have asthma which can attack me at any time. So this will attack me on my health
and also on my studies and in my psychology.
Respondent 3- These lapses affect me academically, and also in my health. Just like the comfort
room if it is not clean this affects my health.
Respondent 4- it affects me very much because, whenever you try to study outside or learn
outside it is very hard to keep up, because of all the noise, commotions, and of course some
students will always be noisy during their time.
Respondent 5- I would really have a difficult time learning certain subjects because of these
lapses.
Respondent 6- I cannot focus, like I am not any more interested in doing the school works, and
sometimes there is shortage in classrooms.
Respondent 7- nothing
Respondent 8- I can’t use the comfort rooms with ease.
Respondent 9- I can’t listen and focus properly.
Respondent 10- the lapses has an effect to me.

4. Are there any school facilities in Leyte National High School that are still functional
and suitable for use of the students?
Respondent 1- Yes, like the buildings for senior high school they are the only ones who can
study well, because they are complete with their needs, like chairs, electric fan.
Respondent 2- I think there are none anymore.
Respondent 3- Yes, just like the gymnasium, it is suitable for the use of students and are still
functional because in any program it can be used.
Respondent 4- as of now, the gym has given us a big effect on us because of the lack of rooms
the school allowed us to use the gym’s backstage as rooms so that we can learn properly, in a
way that we may catch up to our academic learning.
Respondent 5- Yes there are still some but some are very defective, such as the bathroom it is
still useable it is still there but sometimes it is defective
Respondent 6- Yes, like the gym, Gabaldon building, science building, and many more.
Respondent 7-rooms
Respondent 8- there are still facilities that are functional.
Respondent 9- the computers that we have in the ComLab.
Respondent 10- nothing

5. What can you suggest to improve the school facilities?

Respondent 1- The students must work together so that the facilities will not be dirty, because
some of it are becoming rusty, and if there is someone who says to donate anything for the
school they should donate, because it is also for their own good
Respondent 2- I suggest that we should build more learning facilities such as more classrooms,
and also they should provide us more comfort rooms.
Respondent 3- I suggest the school to have fund raising so that they can afford school facilities
so that they can improve.
Respondent 4- Of course LNHS has a big space, so I suggest that if any chance the school
would provide more rooms, rooms that are sanitized, that are student-friendly, rooms that would
help us learn more, rooms that are silent and quite so that the students will not be disturbed from
their acads or whatever they are learning. And of course proper rules so that other rooms would
not be affected by other rooms because of the noisiness and the dirtiness, so that the rooms
would be preserved until the next generation of students.
Respondent 5- I could suggest that the students should stop ruining these facilities, so that we
can prolong the use of these facilities.
Respondent 6- If possible the school should clean the buildings and fix the chairs because they
are already broken, and add more buildings for the students.
Respondent 7-to have a clean up
Respondent 8- to have a general cleaning.
Respondent 9- start first in the little amount then if it is effective or if it is a big help for our
school then improve it is so that many students can use the facilities.
Respondent 10- the bells are not working properly and the other students does not know how
close the time is. And the flag raising ceremony must be done once a week because other
students are far from the school and the teachers are having an attendance for the flag raising and
it is unfair for those students who are far.
