What we do
ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products
Flat Products is the largest producer of flat steel in Europe and produces
hot rolled coils, cold rolled coils, coated products, tinplate, plate and hot-
dip galvanised products, and enamelled and electrical steels. Flat Products
has 13 integrated and minimill sites, and its primary facilities are located
in six countries. It sells to a wide range of industries including packaging,
general industry (civil engineering, construction, domestic appliances,
oil & gas, renewable energies, yellow & green goods) and, in particular,
automotive, where its advanced high strength steel (AHSS) and electrical
steels products and solutions are supporting car manufacturers on the
road to electromobility.

ArcelorMittal Europe – Long Products


Long Products operates at 26 production sites in ten countries and is a
leader in the production of sections, sheet piles, rails, quality wire rod,
rebars and bars. It offers the widest range of sections – from small
to jumbo – and a large spectrum of bars & rod qualities. ArcelorMittal
Sheet Piling, the world’s largest producer of certified hot rolled steel
sheet piles, offers steel foundation solutions, including accessories,
advice, special fabrication and logistic support. In rails, ArcelorMittal
offers a wide range of rails covering, amongst others, rails for high
speed and also heavy haul tracks. ArcelorMittal WireSolutions offers
a diverse portfolio of low and high carbon wires, strands, wire ropes,
fencing, nails, steel fibres for concrete reinforcement and corrosion
resistant solutions. ArcelorMittal Projects provides complete and
customised steel solutions and services via 3 specialised project-related
business lines: Foundation Solutions, Solar Projects and Processing
and Energy Projects. Launched in 2018, Steligence® is ArcelorMittal’s
unique, holistic commercial approach serving the construction market
with a complete set of products, services and solutions.

ArcelorMittal Downstream Solutions


The Europe segment also includes ArcelorMittal Downstream Solutions,
which primarily covers the downstream activities of ArcelorMittal in
Europe. To meet specific customer requirements in both the automotive
and industrial sectors, it provides distribution of long and flat products,
as well as value-added and customised steel solutions through further
processing by Steel Service Centres. In addition, specific solutions are
dispatched through other ArcelorMittal Downstream Solutions business
lines: Distribution Solutions, which provides a wide range of steel, stainless
steel, aluminium and building products to small local business, major
industrial companies and multinationals; Construction, which transforms
coils into finished products such as profiles, panels and façade sidings for
any kind of building; and ArcelorMittal International and Tubular Products.
ArcelorMittal Downstream Solutions also includes Industeel, which has
facilities in Belgium and France, where it can produce special steel plates
and forged blocks - from thicknesses of 4mm up to 1200mm - in carbon,
low-alloy and stainless steels.

ArcelorMittal Hamburg is building


an industrial-scale project to use
hydrogen instead of natural gas
in the direct reduction of iron ore
(DRI).

The H2H project consists of building and
operating at Hamburg (Germany) the
world’s biggest industrial Direct Reduced
Iron (DRI) production demonstrator,
operating with 100% hydrogen instead of
natural gas.

Krakow Steel Service Centre, with the
integration of an automatic transversal
strapping machine, to boost its capacity.

Bosnia and Herzegovina


As part of the Toplana project in Zenica,
