1) OTTs (Over The Top)

Due to this lockdown, Cinemas will remain closed for a very long period. This is
where the OTTs step in. Many movies today are being launched on platforms like
Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hotstar etc. OTT platform is a new opportunity for the
Bollywood to run the business. The most important factor that succour it is the habit
formation of watching movies on such platforms. If people start following this
pattern, then sooner, the demand for Cinemas will decrease and it will definitely
upsurge the OTTs platforms.

2) E-Commerce Sector
Demand for e-commerce companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, etc. will be
increasing as people are getting used to living with this COVID-19. Following the
safety, no one will prefer going to the stores to buy items as everything is available
nowadays on these platforms. In India, till Lockdown 3.0, operations of e-commerce
was halted, but after Lockdown 4.0, they are again back on the track. But in US,
e-commerce sector observed the growth of 49%. This trend can also be seen in India.
Identifying such an opportunity, Reliance Jio has also launched Jio Mart. The way
Reliance utilizes the opportunities is just so praiseworthy.

3) Education Technology Companies

Companies like BYJUs, Unacademy, Shiksha, etc. had been providing online classes.
During this COVID period, many will shift towards them due to unavailability of
physical classes. Online teaching will become the new normal and courses from
companies like these will definitely be in demand.

4) Product Based Technology Companies

Many online tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, etc. are in great demand for
webinars, meetings, conferences due to work from home. Many people are getting
married on Zoom. Many online tools are US based. ZOHO, an India based company is
somehow not giving tough fight to US base companies. But in future, in the name of
“Make in India” tag, it can create the high demand.

5) Medical
In this COVID-19 period, many people are focusing toward strengthening their
immunity and improving their hygiene. Demand for sanitizer, mask, gloves, etc. are
already very high. The demand for nutritious and wellness products are expected to
see a rise. This mind-set toward healthy life will also open the door for many new
healthy products. This will also create the employment opportunity in huge
numbers.
