TEKS FORUM BI (ROUND 1)

THANKS YOU TO OUR BRILLIANT MODERATOR

Thank you for having me today, its such a great honor to be here
SO, I going to start my explanation on what ms navina said just now. What ms navina said
were the type of hazard, but I will use that type of hazard to explain what cause that hazard
happen.

First, No Workplace is immune from Biological Hazards. They can appear and disappear due
to a variety of factors so it is important for one to be prepared in the workplace.so the cause
that biological hazard happen is working alone. Working alone makes people more
vulnerable to Biological Hazards because they may not be able to seek help as easily. In
addition, some Biological Hazards are hard to identify such as virus and cronic disease. If the
employee is working outside, there is an added risk for Biological Hazards to be around. For
example, a worker who is allergic to bee stings may get a severe allergic reaction and might
be unable to call for help. It can be harmful when they cant reach help and maybe their life
in on the line.

Second, what cause Physical hazards happen?. It can happen in two factors, noice and
temperature. We are talking about serious work noise, where the noise reaches 85 decibels.
That’s around about the sound of a passing train if you’re standing 15 meters away.
noise can cause permanent damage to your hearing. Hearing loss can either take place
progressively over a long period or, if the noise is exceptionally loud and sudden,
instantly.next the temperature ,when the temperature drops too low or too high for
workers to carry out their job comfortably and safely. Indoor workplaces must provide a
reasonable working temperature in workrooms. This is usually at least 16°C.Working
outdoor can potentially have a very serious impact on an employee’s welfare. It may be
immediate or occur over a long time period depending on the situation.

Third, argronomic hazard can best relate to, repetitive movement, manual handling,
workplace/job/task design, uncomfortable workstation height and poor body positioning.
the equipment used there and the work environment itself can best be designed for
comfort, efficiency, safety and productivity. Often we can improve our levels of comfort and
productivity with relatively simple changes.
And last but not list, the chemical hazard happen when the chemicals were improperly
stored causing a chemical leak, toxic substances becoming airborne or the mishandling of
chemicals due to less training. Its because chemical exposure can occur in many different
types of workplaces.  Employers who are exposed to potentially hazardous chemicals must
follow the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, guidelines to make sure
that their employees are safe from exposure to these dangerous chemicals. Worker who are
not wearing a special uniform while handling this chemical will also expose to this
dangerous.

Round 2

For suggestion is, I would like to do a program that can evaluate and do improvement.
How to do that?. We have to monitor the worker performance,we must develop and
track lagging of progress toward established safety and health goals, such as Number of
injuries and illnesses worker and Level of worker participation in program activities that link
to harzard education. Second, we must Verify that the program is good for operating to
ensure the program is effective in controlling identified hazards, and is making progress
toward established safety and health goals and objectives. The scope of program
evaluations will vary depending on changes in OSHA standards. And lastly, Correct program
and identify opportunities to improve. The meaning is whenever a problem is identified in
any part of the safety and health program, employers together with with supervisors,
managers, and workers should take immediate action to correct the problem and preventits
to happen again.
