Flexion of the Shoulders in Volleyball

SPIKING

When we play volleyball our shoulder exhibit flexion movement through

spiking. Flexion is a bending movement that decreases the angle between a
segment and its proximal segment. As we spike, we bend our elbows to get
force and momentum to spike the ball.
Extension of the Legs in Soccer
KICKING THE BALL

Extension of the legs can be seen when the soccer player kicks the
ball. Extension is the opposite of flexion, describing a
straightening movement that increases the angle between body parts. When
the player kicks the soccer ball he extends or straighten his legs in order to
kick the ball.
Abduction of the Arms in Baseball
PITCHING

Pitching of the ball in baseball exhibits abduction of the arms.

Abduction is a movement where a body part is moving away from the midline
of the body. When a player pitches a ball, he needs to move his arm to the
side and away from the midline in order to find a force and execute the proper
stance when pitching a ball.
Adduction of the Arms in Swimming
BREASTSTROKE

Adductions refers to the movement hen a body part moves closer to

the midline of the body. Breaststroke, a swimming style in which the swimmer
is on their chest and the torso does not rotate and the hands move closer to
the body to use it to paddle
Flexion of the Shoulders in Badminton
SMASHING

When executing a badminton smash, the player needs to bend its

elbow in order to get the momentum and force that he wanted. In this case,
badminton smash exhibits flexion of the arm since it describes a bending
movement that decreases the angle between the arm and the forearm.
