The people behind Indie Campers
Hugo Oliveira was born in 1989 in Santo
Tirso, in the North of Portugal.
Since a very young age, he started
working at his father's steel company,
supporting him on the company's
operations and management.
Indie Campers' idea was born during
Hugo's trip to Australia at the age of 23.
Back in Portugal, Hugo developed the
idea in his Masters’ thesis and founded
Indie Campers right after finishing his
studies.

the help of friends and family. Still today,
high value is set to guarantee that each
candidate fits in so that the company
culture is not lost.

The Goals for 2020

Thinking without borders

2020 is the year that Indie Camper's growth will, for the first time,
go beyond Europe. Besides increasing our European footprint with
15 new destinations, we are planning to open a select number of
locations in the the USA

Peer-to-Peer Marketplace
For people that already have their own campervans, or don't, we
decided to integrate sharing economy into our business. Soon, it
will be possible to search for and book campervans on a platform
that includes vehicles from private owners. This will allow people
to capitalise their own assets and will include property
management done by an experienced team.

New vehicles
Our goal is to improve continuously and enable our customers to
have the most amazing experiences. We want to be the biggest
Road Trip provider in the world, and there are more ways to do a
Road Trips besides a campervan. This is why we will soon
introduce new types of vehicles, such as motorcycles, convertible
cars and cars with rooftop tents to our product portfolio.

Road Trip Planning

The Road Trip planner will help our customers to be inspired by
selected Road Trips, tested and approved by professionals, with
recommendations, local tips and general advise about each stop.
