Objective
To extract ricinoleic acid from natural castor oil and makes surface
modification on magnetite nanoparticles with poly (ricinoleic acid) in order to
modify its properties.

Experimental of the composite.
Conclusion
Ricinoleic acid, magnetite and composite was successfully synthesized as shown
Characterization:
by FTIR results. The particle size was investigated by dynamic light scattering
• Fourier-transform
infrared spectroscopy (FT- showing a fairly narrow size distribution. The magnetic force test showed that the

composite has good magnetic properties.
• Dynamic Light Scattering
(DLS)
This work was able to synthesize a biocompatible and magnetic material at a
• Magnetic Force
nanometric scale with potential for biomedical applications using materials from
renewable sources.
