To Whom It May Concern,

I had the privilege of being Jamiah Harrison’s cooperating teacher during her 8 week
elementary school placement from August 26, 2020 - October 23, 2020. During her field
experience at Annandale Terrace Elementary School, she worked with students in
Kindergarten through Fifth grade including self contained enhanced autism class in the
General Music classroom. Fairfax County Public School implemented 100% virtual
distance learning at this time so her student teaching was completed in the virtual music
classroom setting.

During her student teaching experience, Jamiah continued to grow and offered
differentiated instruction for student development. She demonstrated interest in student
growth by creating different strategies for learning, fostering development through
appropriate feedback for improvement and guiding the young students through positive
teacher language.

Jamiah is a driven, humble and organized teacher who developed a skill as an effective
teacher. She is highly qualified in using technology in the classroom including google
slides, pear deck and other variety of interactive instructional tools. She has excellent
written and verbal communication skills and is constantly seeking for professional
development opportunities to grow as an educator.

I highly recommend Jamiah as a candidate for a music educator at your school. With her
excellent musical talent and her driven personality to continue to grow, she will be highly
valued as a newest member of faculty at your school.

If you need further information, please call or email.

Sincerely,

Essel Linton
