The document describes the author's experiences as a new student at PNUP. It discusses how she repaired a broken laptop for her lecturer, Mr. Lidemar, which led to them having a good conversation. It also mentions how she stood out as the only new student wearing a grey hijab instead of the required black one. When I was new, I have friends from civil engineering,
accountancy, business administration, chemistry engineering and most from electrical engineering. My interesting experience that time is when I was being Mr. Lidemar’s operator. I used his broken laptop. In early, I used that laptop, I handled it well, until I was passionate to repaired his laptop because that laptop moved it slide by it self and it very bothered the new collegers. So, after several subject was done, I went to Mr. Lidemar for ask for his permission to repaired his laptop. When I met with him, he was shock and asking “could you?” then I said “Insyaa Allah I could, Mr.” Then Mr. Lidemar gave me a seat and showing him how to repair his laptop. During repairing processed, we told a lot of things, such as how could his laptop broken, my hometown, and so on. To be honest, I was very happy for being praised by Mr. Lidemar in front of lecturers and seniors beside me. The other funny story at that time, is I was being the only one a new colleger that wore a grey hijab, because I didn’t have more black hijab (dress code for female new colleger). When that hijab wore by me, I just realised that I wore the same dress code with committee (which is our senior). Just because I wore khimar (long hijab), my uniform didn’t appear, and I seems like a senior. After the orientation was done. We started our new journey for being a real colleger, in new classes, new situations, and with new friends. It was very different when we were in senior high school. I passed my first semester clearly and Alhamdulillah the grades from all of my subjects was good. I hope, I can maintain my achievements.
