Home automation system

A home automation system will monitor and/or control home attributes such as lighting, climate, entertainment systems, and
appliances. It may also include home security such as access control and alarm systems. When connected with the Internet.A home
automation system typically connects controlled devices to a central hub or "gateway". The user interface for control of the system
uses either wall-mounted terminals, tablet or desktop computers, a mobile phone application, or a Web interface that may also be
accessible off-site through the Internet.

Zigbee protocol

Zigbee is a low-cost, low-power, wireless mesh network standard targeted at battery-powered devices in wireless control and
monitoring applications. Zigbee chips are typically integrated with radios and with microcontrollers.Zigbee protocol offers :-

 low-latency communication.

 Zigbee protocols minimize the time the radio is on, so as to reduce power use

Communication models

An application may consist of communicating objects which cooperate to carry out the desired tasks. The focus of Zigbee is to
distribute work among many different devices which reside within individual Zigbee nodes which in turn form a network .

Communication and device discovery

For applications to communicate, their comprising devices must use a common application protocol (types of messages, formats and
so on); these sets of conventions are grouped in profiles. Furthermore, binding is decided upon by matching input and output cluster
identifiers, unique within the context of a given profile and associated to an incoming or outgoing data flow in a device. Binding tables
contain source and destination pairs.
Gateway or controller and repeater placement design

Installation

 Keep gateway away from interference like washing machine,microwave,and refrigerator and router

 Put the gateway open position and avoid the area surrounded by three side of metal, and dust

 Place in table or ventilated surface instated of soft material.

Gateway configuration
Internet setting

 connect the network cable to WAN port of this product .

 As Ethernet indicator flashes the Ethernet is connected to the network successfully

 Open smart devices like smart phone or tablet or lab top search wifi network and choose gateway to connect to the internet
 Open web browser of the device which has been connected to WI-FI and input the Ip address 192.168.188.1 In The address bar to
enter management background of gateway .

 After log in user can set Ethernet ,WI-FI and 3g network respectively.

Network setting

 Step 1 :-Connect to server

1, connect 5v DC power and power indicator tuns on which means power connect work normally

2,connect cable to configure the Ethernet correctly the Ethernet indicator tuns on

3,the gateway start up after 1 to 2 minutes and system indicator turns green.

 Step 2 :-set up Zigbee NETWORK FOR THE FIRST TIME

1,quick click SET KEY six time and each click is with in 1s, ZigBee network works normally and indicator flash every 1 second.

 Step 3 :-network setting

1,Quick click SET KEY 4 times to set up the network now other device are allowed to added to zig Bee network .

 Now Zigbee network setting indicator stays on

 Now Zigbee network indicator flash every 1 second

2, if quick click SET KEY M3 time other device are not allowed to be added to zigbee network

Note :-default time for allowing device to add to zigbee network is only 4 minutes.

 Step 4 :-exit the network

1, long press system key for 10s, the system restart automatically and resort to factory setting while zigbee network will not be
affected

2,long press SET key for 10s , the gateway exit zigbee network automatically

For the first use open app client to log in to the gateway ID or SCAN QR CODE and password is last six number of ID and user can
modify the password after once log in.

2,repeater
 Wireless repeater ,support new generation of zigbee/smart room wireless technology and helping wireless gateway to diffusion
wireless signal.

 Repeater expand the range of your network by repeating or boosting the signals from gateway to all smart devices like
smart switch and other smart device.

 We use two repeater to regenerate signal from all smart devices to gateway and the revers.

 We put the repeater between the gateway and other smart device in which the distance is more than 10 meters.

repeater Configuration

 Make sure the repeater is not connected to any gateway or exit the connecting zigbee network before connecting again.
 New product can can be connected to the network directly or for first time to join the network power on it and it will apply to
zigbee network aromatically

 The system flash while searching the network and after join the zigbee network successfully the indicator will stay on for 2
second and then go out.

 Connecting or to join other smart device to repeater,quick click 6 times and then system indicator flash once. Which means
allowing other device to join the repeater with in 4 minutes

We can also join the repeater manually

 Click the Multi -function key once and then system indicator stay on for 2 second and then go out.

 Finally exit the network , long press the Multi function key for 6s and loosen it, the system flash 4 times regularly and goes out to
exit the zigbee network.

3,Smart switch
 With wireless gateway ,realize remote control, timing switch, binding switch, multi device intelligent linkage and other functions

 Instillation of smart switch
Shut power off, unscrew copper pillar screws on the back of switch, connect Live Line to L port, Neutral Line to N port, Load Line to
A/B/C ports (note: A/B/C stands for one/two /three-gang).After correct wiring as per above illustration, tighten the copper pillar
screw, make sure the copper wire contact well with the wiring column, no bare copper outside.

4,Software part
1,Download APP from the app store and add new devices.

1.1 Join the device to network

1,Log in APP, make the gateway under "allow to add new devices" status;

2,When use for the first time, power it on to join ZigBee network automatically (quick click Multi-Functional Key] once to join network
manually, System Indicator flashed blue when searching for network;

3,When the device joins ZigBee network successfully, the System Indicator stays on for 2 seconds and then goes out.
4,Device has been added to zigbee network
successfully if click the Multi-Functional Key one time
and the System Indicator flashes once.

5,If the device cannot join the ZigBee network after the
operations above,please exit the network, wait for 10s
and try to join the network manually.

Binding

1,Work as the Binding switch to bind other devices

(local manual mode)

2, Enter the device settings page of the APP, set the

device to binding switch mode;

3,Make sure the switch is under the same gateway

with the device it plans to bind with. Press [Multi-
Functional Key] on the switch and quickly click the
button about to be bound once, and then loose [Multi-
Functional Key], [System Indicator] flashes once and
sends a binding request.

4,Operate the devices that need to be bound within

20s to finish the binding. If it succeeds, [System
Indicator] flashes 3 times; or [System Indicator] flashes
6 times if the binding fails. (Please refer to bound
device's

5,Only Two-Gang switch can be used to bind the

dimmer switch, Three-Gang switch can be used to
bind the curtain switch.
 Scene Mode

1,Enter the device setting page of the APP, set the

device to scene switch mode;

2,Edit personalized scenes in APP. User can use this

switch to realize one press to control a scene.
