 What is home automation?

Home automation deals with providing a

network in the house which links
computers & peripheral equipment,
smart chip bearing household appliances
(white goods) e.g. dish washers, washing
machines, microwaves etc., and
sub-systems like Heating, Ventilation, Airconditioning and
security systems.
 What is GOOGLE assistant?
Google Assistant is an artificial intelligence-
powered virtual assistant developed by Google that is
primarily available on mobile and smart
home devices.The Google Assistant can engage in two-
way conversations.
 The goal of this project was to develop a home
automation system that gives the user complete control over
all voice controllable aspects of his or her home.

 The automation system has the ability to be controlled from a

central host PC through voice.
 The way of this concept function is when a user speaks out
some command, then the voice is captured through
microphone as the input devices

 Once the voice is captured, the usage of a decoding system

that will convert the analog (voice) to digital (binary signal).

 Later, the input voice is compared with the data stored in the
memory early before the testing.

 The output of the comparison is the voice matched with any

of the command trained and certain signal is produce as the
input for the controlling system.

 A printed circuit board (PCB) mechanically supports and electrically
connects electronic components or electrical components
using conductive tracks, pads and other features etched from one or
more sheet layers of copper laminated onto and/or between sheet
layers of a non-conductive substrate. Components are
generally soldered onto the PCB to both electrically connect and
mechanically fasten them to it.
 In this project we use 7805 regulator.

 Regulated 5 volt supply is connected to the circuit . IC 7805

is a three pin regulator . Pin no1 is input pin , pin no 2 is
ground pin and pin no 3 is output pin.
 The relay is actually a switch alike component just the
difference is the way of triggering is through the magnetic
field that will change the contact and thus activating a switch.
 Access of home systems from anywhere

 Save energy significantly, thus saving on electricity

bills

 Centralized control of home systems via smartphone

 Monitor security of home even you are miles away.

 The system is network dependent. Hence, network
congestion can reduce the reliability of the system.

 If user make any mistake while commanding any

instruction thst will not acknowledged by controller
hence the system will not work properly
 Controlling various household devices of house with internet.

 Industrial automation and management through internet.

 Improvement of security problems in extremely restricted

areas.

 Emergency purposes-prevent from many unexpected incident

happening.
