Read these comments about market research and say which opinion(s) you agree with.

For me the opinion I agreeing with is the thinking about we have the view of customers but we
doesn’t know yet about our own competitors that’s the main problem if we can analyse our
competitors we can exploit them and make it for our own gain.

Over To You
• How do you analyse you competitors?
We can analyse our competitors by identity the competitors, gather information about them,
analyse their strengths and weaknesses and identitf your competitive advantage.
• Do you think market research is worth doing in your company (or industry)? Why or why
not?
market research is worth doing because we can make a plan, a careful plan for that, if we
don’t have a market research we will go down, we can be broke because we have no plan/
• What are the advantages of doing your own market research versus outsourcing it?
The advantages are we know it directly about the market research because we experience it
first hand, if outsourcing it we wouldn’t know the real thing which is why we need a data but
not a reliable one.
