2: Create a local network by connecting multiple PCS and checking the

reachability.
Procedure
Step 1: Open the Cisco Packet Tracer.

Step 2: Select “End Devices” through which you can select the PCs according to
yourneed.
Step 3: Select “Network devices” through which you can select the Switches.

Step 4: Select “Connections” and select the copper straight through wire to
connect the PCs to switch. In order to connect the PCs to the switch select the pc
with the help of copper straight through and the select the FastEthernet0 and the
select the switch where you have to select the Fast Ethernet. Repeat the step for
other PCs and wait until there forms connection between the PCs and switch.
Step 5: Select PC and click in Desktop and IP Configuration to set a specific IP
address and subnet mask of all the PCs.
Step 6: Check the port status on the switch.

Step 7: Click on one of the PC and then go to the desktop where you can find the
command prompt.
Step 8: Check the ping and determine whether the connection is successful or not
in the command prompt.
