INTRODUCTION

Employer’s associations are a response to


large and powerful national trade unions of
employees. The main objective is to promote
and protect the interest of the members, to
negotiate and deal with trade unions of
employees, and to represent their members
in any trade dispute between an individual
member and the employees’ union.
DEFINITION

MTUC (Malaysian Trades Union


Congress)

MTUC is not a trade union but a society.

CUEPACS (Congress of Unions of


Employee in Public and Civil Services)

A federation of trade unions of government


workers.

MEF (Malaysian Employers Federation)

The employer's equivalent of MTUC.
