VIDEO RECORDING ASSIGNMENTS FOR PIANO CLASS

The majority of your assignments for piano class will be submitted via video recordings this
semester. Assignments will typically be due by 5 pm Sunday before the next week of class. Late
assignments will only receive a maximum of 50%.

1) At the start of each recording, you must show your face on camera. Say your name and
what you will be playing.

2) Then, place your phone in a location so that your hands are fully visible on screen during
your performances (e.g., on the platform next to the keyboard of an acoustic piano; see
below).

Place phone on the platform to the left or

right of the keyboard and select the front
facing camera in order to record your hands
on the keyboard.

3) When you are done recording, upload video(s) to YouTube or other video hosting
website (Vimeo, etc.) or online drives (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.). Send video links to
your teacher’s email. Do not send actual video files as these take too long to upload and
download.
