You will have two hours to take this final exam. Timings given for each
section are suggestions, not mandates. You may use your “annotated”
copy of Schumann’s “Arabeske,” but otherwise no outside materials are to
be used. Good luck!
1. Measures 1-16a (and pickup measure): Provide harmonic analysis for this
section, on the attached score. Include inversion symbols and proper Roman
numeral size to show chord quality. Label any non-chord tones by type. (21 pts.
total) (20 minutes)
2. Assuming there are cadences at measures 3-4, 7-8, 11-12, and 15-16, provide
labels (e.g., IAC, PC, V:PAC, etc.) for each cadence, filling in the blanks below: (2
