for graduate study. Being the head of the department of computer science & engineering,
I have known Sumit for past four years and have closely observed him as a student.
During these years, I have also taught him subjects like Data Structure and Database
Management System.

During my interaction with Sumit, I found him to have strong fundamentals of computer
science. His performance in class was very commendable as opposed to his mediocre
university grades. He was one of the most active students of the class. His penchant
towards learning the new technologies is what makes him distinctive & quick learner. He
is a highly motivated individual and possesses the intellectual ability to achieve his
targets.

I got to observe his Programming acumen during my data structure classes, where his
performance was remarkable. He understood the algorithms easily and was also able to
implement them well in computer practical. His performance in Database Management
system was noteworthy as well. He used the concepts of Normalization while designing
the database for his minor project. I could see a future researcher in him.

Apart from academics, he was involved in various co-curricular activities like paper
presentation, quizzes, skits etc. He represented our college in an inter-college paper
presentation held at MANIT, Bhopal in 2007 and secured third place in it.

Currently, he is serving as a lecturer in the department of computer science in our

college, Mahakal Institute of Technology. Self-confidence and excellent communication
skills are some of his qualities that have aided him in the past, during his undergraduate
studies, and are proving to be consequential even now, in disseminating his knowledge,
as a lecturer.
