I. Introduction
The introduction should introduce the topic, provide a background and context, and outline the
problem statement and research questions. You should briefly state what the gap in the
literature is, and why it is important to fill this gap. Therefore, you need to organize your
introduction in the following manner:
a) Topic, background and context
b) Problem Statement
c) Gap in the literature
d) Research Questions
e) Hypotheses
f) Significance of the study

II. Literature Review

A literature review is a comprehensive survey of scholarly studies on your selected topic. It
should provide an overview of existing knowledge, allowing you to identify relevant
theories and possible gaps in the literature. You shouldn’t only summarize previous studies, but
rather develop a coherent argument that clearly leads to your own research questions.
You should show how your study will address the gaps by describing your proposed model and
adequately identifying the relevant factors.

III. Methodology
In the methodology section, you need to describe how you will undertake your study. First,
specify the general approach you will follow (conceptual or empirical; quantitative or
qualitative). Next, specify the methods of collecting data (secondary, primary), and the tools
that will be used in each method (survey, interview, focus group). You should also clearly
specify the methods of data analysis you intend to use, and the software packages you will
employ.
