LITERATURE REVIEW

A literature review is a search and evaluation of the available studies and literature in your given
subject or chosen topic area. Also, a literature review can serve as a framework for a piece of research
or study, such as a thesis. It is used to analyze critically a segment of a published body of knowledge
through summarizing, classification and comparison of studies and theoretical articles. Literature
review has an organizational pattern that combines both summary and synthesis, though it can just
be a simple summary of sources.
