The sisters of Central Michigan University’s Delta Phi Epsilon Beta Phi Chapter are
participating in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 65 Roses Challenge. Sisters are fundraising,
recruiting and participating in the challenge to raise money to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s goal is to raise $65 million by the end of 2020. To help
the foundation reach its goal, the sisters have also been participating in Great Strides for CFF.
Great Strides allows sisters to track their walking, running and biking miles as money is donated
for each mile tracked. So far 90% of the Beta Phi chapter’s $100,000 goal has been raised.
Anyone can donate to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by donating online or contacting a
sister of the Beta Phi chapter. People can also participate in the challenge by going to CFF.org.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation named the 65 Roses Challenge after a child diagnosed
with Cystic Fibrosis could not pronounce the name of his illness. He called it 65 roses.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is just one of Delta Phi Epsilon’s supported
philanthropies. Chapters across the country help to support the foundation through fundraising,
donations, events and challenges such as these. To get involved go to CFF.org and
Greatstrides.org.
