URGENT MOTION to CONDUCT SPECIAL RAFFLE

THE ACCUSED, through the undersigned counsel, unto this Honorable Court,
respectfully set/s forth that:

1. Herein accused was/were charged with _______________________ and an

Information was already filed before the Office of the Clerk of Court, Regional Trial
Court;
2. Since their arrest, accused has/have been detained in ______________________ due
to his/her/their inability to post bail bond. The bail set, as prescribed under the rules,
by the diligent and brilliant prosecutor, for their provisional release has been set at
P_____________;
3. The accused is/are poor fellow/s of very limited means such that it is impossible for
him/her/them to pay the full amount of their bond, and are therefore constrained to
request for a reduction of the amount of bail;
4. Accused is/are not flight risk or danger to the community. In fact, he/she/they is/are
first time offender/s; and bind himself/herself/themselves to appear before any court
as required under specified conditions;
5. It would be advantageous to everyone if he/she/they be given temporary liberty
thereby allowing him/her/them to continue with their gainful employment and as
head/s of the family with dependents;
6. As such, accused appeal to the mercy and compassion of this Honorable Court and
respectfully request that their bail be reduced to P_____________.
7. This motion for reduction of bail is being filed without prejudice to any other remedy
which may be available to the accused and that the accused expressly reserves the

 right to question the legality of their warrantless arrest if the circumstances would so
warrant;
8. In addition, accused were informed, that the case cannot be heard immediately
because the raffle of cases is being held every Thursday only. Hence this Motion;

WHEREFORE, premises considered, it is respectfully prayed of this Honorable Court

of the Clerk of Court that this case immediately be raffled to a branch of Court for hearing on the
Motion to Reduce Bail.

Other reliefs just and equitable are likewise prayed for.
